We, the members of Friends of Shawnee State Park, Inc. accept the challenge to maintain the highest standard of recreational opportunities for the visitors of our park and ask that each of you join us to make Shawnee State Park the best in Ohio.

The Friends of Shawnee State Park, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization registered in the State of Ohio that was implemented to assist in promoting the understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of the natural and cultural resources of Shawnee State Park.

Being a Friend
Being a friend of Shawnee State park is much more than taking a weekend afternoon to pick up litter. It's everything from planning and implementing exciting weekend camping themes to hosting family movie nights and educational programs that enhance the park's amenities for a wonderful park experience!
Some of the events for 2009 were Veteran's Appreciation Weekend, Beach Party Weekend, Camper's Yard Sale, Pirate Weekend, Halloween Camp Out, and the Fall Hike.
As you can see with the above mentioned events we are a very busy organization. We have alot of fun together and enjoy the work that we do, however our greatest reward is volunteering in such a beautiful setting. Whether you're exploring on your own or visiting with family and friends, Shawnee State Park definitely has your memories-in-the-making, and the Friends are quite proud of being part of the process!
